A BVU Authority spokesperson says they believe they have found the source of a water line break that has caused low-water pressure for people in Bristol, Virginia.
According to BVU CEO Don Bowman, crews are fixing to work on the possible leak located on Randolph Street.
Bowman says this will isolate the leaks to just eight homes, and that those people have been made aware.
Bowman adds that crews have been working for nearly four hours and that the city is losing around 300-350 gallons of water per minute.
The emergency shelter at Highlands Fellowship Church will be closing at noon Saturday. BVU is continuing to work on the water issue and is working today to improve the water pressure along Lee Highway and the area around Lee Garden Apartments. If the needed arises, the shelter will re-open.
The BVU Authority is expected to make an announcement either by Facebook or by other means to alert people once all work has been completed.
